Internet-turned-TV funnymen (and the inexplicable bane of DJ Envy’s existence) Desus & Mero are reportedly eyeing a premium payday.
Deadline is reporting that their popular show with Viceland is coming to a close in favor of a bigger rollout on Showtime’s primetime network.
The current nightly addition is said to be replaced with a weekly format. According to Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva, the Bodega Boys began telling staff about the departure on June 14.
In its two seasons, the Bronx-born, Hip Hop adjacent comedians have seen their stock rise tremendously. While they rose to prominence interviewing nearly every rapper on top of the news cycle, the duo crossed over to pop culture tip, having sitdowns with the likes of Melissa McCarthy, John Cena, Matthew Rhys and several political figures.
The show’s final episode is expected to air June 28.

That Deadline Article is not a good credential source of information (or even one) when the first words are “I hear…”
I said the same thing, they lost credibility at the door.smh The brand is Brolic tho w/Desus&Mero.
The brand is too strong… Balco levels of HGH. I just hope I can still watch without getting the showtime app or getting a premium cable package.
Damn the brand is TOO strong. I bet Showtime won’t be posting all the interviews on YouTube and my broke, washed ass can’t afford Showtime! Bastards! Lol..thank god for the art at least.
Yeah I live in an apartment where the cable is provided by landlord so adding premiums isn’t an option, so I guess gonna have to explore the Hulu Netflix etc etc cause me and my chick watch d & m religiously. Literally as I was typing this a cnn story popped up about Vice being a mess so gonna have to wait and see…
Damn..for reals. I jus don’t even have regular cable bc it’s way too expensive for what it is. But they’re practically the only joy for the first..ten hours of my Tuesday-Friday, from waking up until getting out of work, watching the interview from the previous night. No matter who the guest is even when I don’t give two shits about them it’s still always interesting and funny. Idk what I’m gonna replace them with!
Idk for sure if they do; but Showtime most likely has an app or website type thing like HBO GO..what say we split the cost and account so we can still rage watch the show? Lol..I wish they were still doing Bodega Bucks so I could write in and sob story them into paying for my subscription lol.
Not to come off as hating but I never really liked these guys and I have no idea why lol. Which is pretty dumb and not like me to do..especially considering I haven’t really even checked their shit like that either. I remember seeing them when they were first coming out and I think I may have briefly checked them but wasn’t feelin’ it. Then I think they rubbed me the wrong way when they dissed Ak or whatever awhile ago. Maybe I just aint seen the right shit by them who knows. But they are clearly doing something right considering the come up they’re on. I would be open to giving them an honest look into though if anyone got any suggestions of some good episodes or other shit they got I can check out.
Noooooo!!!! So does this means I can’t their videos on YouTube anymore?? I hope not!
The light skin one – he has thee WORST laugh ever! I couldn’t get around it. I was stuck on it. I kept asking myself “is this for real?” Over here laughing like yogi and boo boo or some shit! Get a better laugh
