As of Monday (May 14), J. Cole’s recently released KODalbum has been certified gold by the RIAA, which means the album has sold over 500,000 equivalent units.

The accomplishment comes less than a month after Cole dropped KOD on April 20.

In its first week, KOD moved 396,628 album-equivalent units, which was the biggest sales week of 2018 at the time.

In addition to its gold status, KOD debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart upon its release — Cole’s fifth consecutive project to hit the top spot. After three weeks, the album is currently in the #2 spot on the chart.

This latest news surrounding Cole comes days after he announced his KOD Tour with Young Thug, which is scheduled to kick off in Miami on August 9. The tour will go on to make stops in Boston, Detroit, Nashville, Las Vegas and more.
