New York City, NY

Much like she did with Big Sean’s “A$$ (Dance)” back in 2011, Nicki Minaj has once again made an existing hit her own, this time via A$AP Ferg’s Summer 17′ heater, “Plain Jane.”

Whether it’s requesting her backside be part of today’s complete breakfast or paying homage to Catherine Zeta-Jones, Minaj matter-of-factly stole the show.

Much like Sean’s track, Ferg didn’t supply new vocals but what’s not broken can’t be fixed. The Kirk Knight-produced, “Slob On My Knob”-sampling flavorful record is now his highest-charting song, peaking at #41 on the Billboard Hot 100. (A crazy statistic when considering the fire like “Shabba Ranks,” “New Level” or “Work” that live inside his discography.)

With just two weeks left in 2017, it doesn’t look like Minaj will be releasing her long-awaited album (which she guarantees will be “classic Hip Hop”) but she’s ensured to be on some of the hottest records of the fourth quarter. Just ask Migos and Cardi B who recruited her for “Motorsport,” and Lil Uzi Vert who received a bump thanks to “The Way Life Goes (Remix).”
