Solo 45, a member of the U.K. grime collective Boy Better Know that was founded by Skepta and JME (and that “signed” Drake last year), has been charged with 29 counts of rape, according to authorities.
In July, Solo 45 (birth name Andy Anokye) was charged with two counts of rape along with one count each of false imprisonment and of causing actual bodily harm. He later pleaded not guilty to all four charges against him.
The rapper’s trial began on Wednesday (October 18), but police have revealed that three more alleged victims have come forward causing them to charge the 31-year-old with 27 more counts of rape – bringing his total to 29.

His trial has now been adjourned until April 16 of 2018.
Solo 45 is best known for his 2015 track, “Feed Em To the Lions.” Earlier this year, he collaborated with BET Award-winner Stormzy on “5ive.”
After news of Solo 45’s multiple charges broke online, JME took to Twitter to offer his own reaction.
I didn’t want to speak until the case was over, and verdict reached.
As I have no idea what the intricacies are, who the victims are etc…— Jme (@JmeBBK) October 18, 2017
But this is mad. 29 charges fam.

Sorry it’s 4 people, 29 counts.
That is still crazy charges.
Early to pass judgement but yeh.
I just hope it’s not true man.— Jme (@JmeBBK) October 18, 2017
Everyone saying “people are being silent” it’s because they are waiting for a verdict before passing judgement. The charges are crazy.
— Jme (@JmeBBK) October 18, 2017
But you have to admit the charges are totally shocking.

Some people will speak up immediately as news hits, some will wait for a verdict.
Thats why I think “the scene” has been quiet on the issue.— Jme (@JmeBBK) October 18, 2017
Some people will say “innocent until proven guilty” and some people will say “29 charges!! there’s no way that he’s totally innocent”
