Pittsburgh rhymer Wiz Khalifa has been laying relatively low as of late, but with a recent social media post he revealed that new music is on the way.

“Albums done. Bout to drop some new music very soon. #GANG,” Wiz Khalifa wrote in the caption to a photo of himself lighting up in what appears to be a studio.

Although Wiz’s last solo studio release came in 2014 with Blacc Hollywood, he had a monster hit in 2015 thanks to the Furious 7 soundtrack record, “See You Again.”

Featuring Jersey crooner Charlie Puth, the song peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and stayed at the top for 12 non-consecutive weeks. The record has also gone 9x-platinum, and is currently the second most-watched video on YouTube with 3.1 billion views.

Last year, Wiz lent his talents to TGOD Mafia: Rude Awakening, a collaborative album that also featured Juicy J and producer TM88.

With this year’s release of The Fate Of The Furious, Wiz once again found himself on a soundtrack for the high octane franchise. The record, titled “Gang Up,” includes appearances from Wiz, Young Thug, PnB Rock, and 2 Chainz.

And to hold fans over until the release of his new album, Wiz did release his Pre-Rolleds surprise EP in June.
