How does Nas celebrate his birthday?
The answer would be: in style.
His wife, Kelis made sure Nas’ 33rd year of life was given it’s proper celebration as the Bossy songstress threw an enormous birthday bash for the QB emcee.

Knowing Nas’tremendous love for old school Hip-Hop, Kelis made sure it was a theme for the evening. Manhattan’s Canal Room was decked in old school flavor from top to bottom. 80’s and 90’s classic Hip-Hop cuts bumped through the speakers.
Party favors included Kangol caps and Adidas sweat bands as an ode to old school Hip-Hop fashion. Old Fat Boys and Rakim LP
posters adorned the walls.
Guests even sported hair styles, sweat suits
and other fashion staples in old shcool Hip-Hop. Some MCs were even
seen rocking thick gold rope chains.

The theme continued on to the cake as it was designed to have a gold rope chain to adorn it. Kelis personally delivered the cake dressed in an outfit similar to the Playboy Bunny outfit.
The surprise celebration was an A-list event. Diddy, ?uestlove, Nick Cannon, Carmelo Anthony, Pras, Dallas Austin, Usher, Jadakiss, Rosie Perez, Styles P., Chris Webber, and others showed up to give the Illmatic MC some birthday love.
Performers for the evening included Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick and Nas himself.
