YG was reportedly pulled over on Wednesday night (August 9) in Burbank, California. Cops allegedly stopped the 27-year-old Compton rapper because the tint on his Mercedes-Maybach appeared too dark. Once police made contact with YG, officers asked for his driver’s license and registration, but he reportedly said, “No.” As the tension began to escalate, he refused to get out of the car and told the cops he didn’t trust them.

Several police cars rushed to the scene for backup, but YG eventually exited the vehicle. He was not carrying any identification and apparently attempted to use his fame as a “get out of jail free card.” Fortunately for him, he wasn’t arrested and only cited for no ID, tinted windows and no license plates.

YG hasn’t addressed the incident publicly and for someone with 3.2 million followers, he stays relatively quiet on Instagram. His last post was August 10 in support of his upcoming Euro Run, which kicks off on October 15 in London.
