Records’ members Lil Wayne and Birdman are set to release their first
studio album together, Like Father Like
Son, which is scheduled to land in stores this fall. In which the album includes
the first single, Stuntin’ Like My Daddy.
“There’s nothing like
spittin’ off the same page,” said the duo, who between them, have sold more
than 7 million albums. The new album will feature guest appearances from Fat Joe, Lil Jon, T-Pain and Rick Ross. And a production list that
includes Swizz Beats, Scott Storch and more. Wayne
and Birdman have both been featured
on the other’s releases but have yet to record an album together. With the
collaboration, they mark yet another milestone for the Cash Money imprint, who has been responsible for a diverse array of
best selling artists since its launch in 1991.
Lil Wayne
recently acquired platinum status for his fifth studio album, The Carter II. As well as being honored with an MTV“Sucker
Free MC of the Year” nomination, with viewers ultimately voting to crown
the winner.
Coming off his 2005 release, Fast Money, Birdman
continues to stay true to the principles of the street while nurturing a myriad
of successful commercial endeavors. Ranging from a footwear collection venture
with Lugz, narrating a popular video
game, Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition
from Rockstar Games, and making his
feature film debut in the 2005 movie Beauty
Shop.
