Chief Keef was reportedly arrested (again) on Monday (June 12) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, according to a Minnehaha County Jail log obtained by Argus Leader. The Chicago rapper is charged with marijuana possession of between two ounces and a half-pound as well as possession of drug paraphernalia. Keef (real name Keith Cozart) was in town for a show Sunday (June 11).
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that authorities found four blunts and an edible in his backpack. Sources close to Keef said he forgot he had it on him before boarding his flight. As of Monday morning, Keef was still in jail and awaiting his arraignment, but his legal team expects him to be out soon.
Keef is already entangled with multiple legal issues and currently has a warrant pending in Miami, Florida stemming from a DUI arrest this April. The 21-year-old wasn’t shy about his affinity for weed when he was stopped and reportedly told the police officer, “When you find weed in my urine, I’ll just get my attorney to get my marijuana card. You’ll find weed in me.”
Prior to that, Keef was arrested in January 2017 on assault charges after allegedly robbing his former music producer in California and released on a $500,000 bail.
