Berkeley, CA

Graduating from college is a major key. Statistics majors at UC Berkeley got a surprise at their commencement when none other than DJ Khaled showed up to perform his hit single “All I Do Is Win.”

The king of Snapchat was brought on stage by Steve Stoute, who was the keynote speaker at the ceremony, to do a short rendition of his popular track before speaking to the Class of 2017. Khaled recently earned his first #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100, but noted that his appearance at the commencement was the closest he’s come to earning a degree.

“Praise the young kings and queens for graduating today,” he said. “This is amazing cause I ain’t graduate myself, so this the closest thing to graduation for me too. This is so inspiring and such a motivational situation today because when I was hearing [Stoute’s] speech, everything he’s saying is facts and it’s true. They didn’t believe in me at one time in my life, but I had to bet on myself and look at me now. I’m on the stage with young kings and queens and a generation of geniuses that’s gonna run the world.”

Khaled also posted a few photos of his day at UC Berkeley on Instagram. The Grateful personality thanked Stoute for including him in the celebration and provided another motivational message to the newly minted grads.
