Aguilera Is Original
Christina Aguilera took a recent trip into the land of hip hop, when she
decided to get one of the greatest producers over the last 15 years to
“help out”. Primo got her the beat and now the song is a
top 10 track. Aguilera responded to questions about what producers
she would work with next, insisting that she would rather not work with the Neptunes at all.
She’s convinced that most of the music on the charts sounds completely
unoriginal. Aguilera said, “I have no interest in working
with the Neptunes. Everyone is using the same
producers.”
Former Black Wallstreet Member Glasses Malone, finds a new home
AD LOADING...
The artist known as Glasses Malone or G. Malone has had a
relatively quick start in the rap game. The rapper who’s notoriously
known as a Crip, is down with a whole label of Bloods at Game’s Black
Wallstreet label. Malone
is straight out of Watts and the whole city is
excited to hear his album, The Beachcruiser in early 2007.
Malone was a huge splash in the industry last year and turned down deals
left and right, now he’s found a new home for himself. He’s signed with Sony Urban, after leading Def Jam, Interscope, J Records and Atlantic
on and Sony has given him his own
sub-label, for Blu Division records.
Malone has hit a hot streak with his mix tapes, White Lightning
and The Crack Mixtape.
Fat Joe… Homeless?
AD LOADING...
Well, not that he needs a place to live, but Fat Joe‘s representatives
have said that while he’s on tour, not to listen to the rumors. He’s left
Atlantic records, but he’s not signed to Virgin just yet. Don
Cartegena had been meeting with several independent labels to see what they
could possibly do for him and he’s on tour, working and concentrating on that
for now. We’ll see where he lands, but with all the hustlin’ Koch
is doing, it’s hard to believe that they wouldn’t at least make a pass at
him.
