After going on record to call Rick Ross’ “Idols Become Rivals” diss to him “hoe shit,” Birdman is literally standing in the corner of his newest recruit, Atlanta studio Swiss Army Knife Sy Ari Da Kid, for his new video for “Wire Transfer From Birdman.”

The lyrics of the record find Sy Ari addressing the apparent question as to why he would even sign with Birdman and Cash Money during a time when they regularly provide the media with lawsuit stories. But the Dontell Antonio-directed music video will surely get the offices of Maybach Music Group buzzing for its Rick Ross doppelgänger who has nothing better to do than smoke Cuban cigars as Sy Ari shingles a roof with bars.

When asked about the record, Sy Ari was diplomatic in his response, telling HotNewHipHop, “I wanted to separate myself from all this gossip by addressing the elephant in the room, everybody wants to know, ‘Does Birdman pay up?’ from all the drama with Lil Wayne (who is one of my favorite rappers). Since I just signed to Cash Money this is my side of the story, all facts — no diss.”

This is far from the first time Birdman has played war games with those whom he felt wronged by, most notably his estranged step-son, Lil Wayne. Back in 2015 as he performed in Miami, Wayne had his performance momentarily halted after being doused with a drink that was flung from the section Birdman and his cronies had been watching from.
