Logic’s “Everybody” Album Predicted To Top Billboard 200 Over Kendrick Lamar’s “DAMN.”

Even if the hosts of Everyday Struggle — Akademiks and Joe Budden — aren’t full onboard the Logic train, as evidenced by today’s episode, the quiet behemoth has a fan base propelling his latest album, Everybody, to the top. After a week that’s included landing in the cover of Complex with Neil Degrasse Tyson — who appears on the album — it seems Logic’s album is about to come in at #1 on the Billboard 200, according to the publication.

This would knock Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. off the throne. Kung Fu Kenny has held the top spot on the Billboard 200 for three weeks straight, but is expected to slide down to #3 with Logic’s debut and the release of Chris Stapleton’s From a Room: Volume 1.

Logic’s followers, many of whom tweeted images of themselves purchasing as many copies as they could from local retailers, have pushed the album to upwards of 210,000 units sold in its first week. This will be the biggest debut of his career.

His studio debut, 2014’s Under Pressure, landed at #2 on the Top Hip Hop/R&B Chart its first week with 70,000 units. However, it didn’t fare as well in the Billboard 200. That all changed with 2015’s The Incredible True Story debuting at #3 on the Billboard 200 and topping the Top Hip Hop/R&B chart with 135,000 in its first week. Both albums have since been certified gold by the RIAA.

Another tremendous achievement is that as of this past January, Logic’s music was streamed over 1.1 billion times on Spotify. That doesn’t include YouTube, SoundCloud, Google Play, Apple Music, or TIDAL (if that’s your thing). So the answer to the smart aleck question of who listens to Logic is a lot of people.

His newest collection of music has inadvertently made him one of the most outspoken rappers in Hip Hop, which isn’t sitting well with everyone. Some have criticized his focus on his biracial ethnicity as slightly overbearing.

But, love or hate Logic, he’s doing crazy numbers.

He recently announced that his next album would be his last. You can read all about that here.

    1. 2 dollar$ says the retirement talk stops lol. Glad to see dope LYRICAL music dominating the charts again.

    2. I do love people dismissing the biracial shit when they know how harsh that shit can be for those people. If he constantly got shit on for it, it is rightfully so a big part of his music if you want him to “keep it real” and tell his story. That’s the wack shit I hate about hip hop….tell your story, be real….unless I don’t like your story or that you want to tell it. A lot of mixed kids be fucked up in the head over that shit, so him putting out what goes on in his head about it is as relevant as somebody from the hood talking about how they had to struggle to make it out or whatever the case may be.

      1. Real shyt. My brother mixed and he feel like he gotta go extra hard the prove he just as black as everyone else in the family. Being biracial, It’s definitely a trigger for him. Hopefully one day he and logic can learn to accept and love themselves. But it’s not something that can be just pushed to the side especially when you have to live it everyday.

        1. Yeah, I knew a mixed kid when I was young who was so fucked up because of not being able to identify with either race that he started calling himself orange and shit as a race. Lots of biracial kids go through that shit especially when you think about that a lot of times the mom is the one raising these kids even wehn the household isn’t split up, let alone when it is. When it is, those kids be all kinds of fucked up because they don’t know who to identify with when the family they regularly see is all white people or Hispanic or whatever the other race may be besides the black part of them.

    3. Watch how quick the review of Logic album lands on here since he doing numbers. But almost a month gone by and still aint shit been said bout Styles P and Talib Kweli ‘The Seven’ joint

    8. I gave it one listen. Didn’t like like. The biracial thing is a major issue for him. It comes through on the album. And his beats/production isn’t that great at all. Maybe it will sound better with the greenery in the air.

    9. Kung fu Kenny is gonna taekwondo this queer looking white albino rat and his stupid ass silly weak album…. 1. Nigerian Savage, more like Nigerian dumb ass. So because his parents were different of different races(his father is black), he’s trying to be black?
