The Wednesday (May 3) version of the DX Digest finds Lil Yachty in the top slot taking a bubble bath in the new commercial for the MTV Movie and TV Awards while CeeLo Green’s remix of Childish Gambino’s “Redbone” sits comfortably in the number two slot. DJ Nu-Mark’s killer Zodiac Tracks mix, “Taurus,” Gorillaz failing miserably at executing a freestyle on Sway In The Morning, and Future’s trailer for his “Mask Off” video round out the Top 5. As usual, scroll further down for new material, including music from TrakkSounds, Siimba Liives Long, Jamo Gang (Ras Kass, El Gant, J57), RRose RRome, and R-Mean.

Lil Yachty – MTV Movie & TV Awards Ad

After Lil Yachty got done brushing off Joe Budden’s comments dissing his positive nature, the 19-year-old artist is back with a commercial for the upcoming MTV Movie and TV Awards. The playful clip shows him “getting ready,” which involves a bubble bath with his rubber duckie, having his portrait painted and playing kids’ instruments. Watch it above.

While CeeLo Green presumably works on taming his inner beast, Gnarly Davidson, he’s at least putting out new music at a fairly consistent rate. His latest comes in the form of a “Redbone” remix, which (of course) was initially performed by the one and only Childish Gambino and included on Gambino’s critically acclaimed album, Awaken, My Love!. The former Goodie Mob member gives Gambino a run for his money and changes the chorus to “pull up/pull up on it/tell me that you want it.” Listen above.

gorillaz f. posdnuos  & Twilite Tone – sway interview/Freestyle

Gorillaz was the featured guest on a recent Sway In The Morning episode. Around the 36-minute mark, the gracious host asks Damon Albarn to kick a freestyle despite the fact the Gorillaz creator really isn’t a rapper. Naturally, it was a train wreck, but thankfully Pos of De La Soul and producer Twilite Tone were there to laugh it off. Gorillaz is currently promoting its new album, Humanz, which dropped last Friday (April 28).

Future – “mask off” (Trailer)

Future has teased the forthcoming video for “Mask Off,” the rapper’s highest-charting single ever. Directed by Colin Tilley, the visual promises to deliver an exciting cinematic experience. Check out the trailer above.
