Migos smoothly bypassed the sophomore curse with its #1 album CULTURE, now officially certified Platinum by the RIAA for moving more than 1 million units.
The Atlanta rap trio announced the news on Twitter and thanked their fans for supporting the project, released January 27.
Donald Glover’s favorite Migos number, “Bad and Boujee” featuring Lil Uzi Vert, has taken over most of 2017 so far and was certified Platinum on January 23, four days before the full album’s release. The success of the project continues as “T-Shirt” becomes the new Migos song to know and sing along to.
Their freshman album Yung Rich Nation moved a mere 15,000 units in its first week in 2015 and entered in the Billboard 200 at #17 whereas CULTURE sold over 131,000 copies and debuted at #1 on the same chart.
