The DX Digest for Thursday (April 13) finds yet another offering from The Fate Of The Furious soundtrack riding in the top slot. Titled “Gang Up,” the new video features Young Thug, 2 Chainz, PnB Rock, and Wiz Khalifa flossing their luxurious lifestyles. Sitting in shotgun is Sampha with two bonus tracks initially only available on the Japanese version of Process — “Answer” and “In-Between & Overseas.” Talib Kweli and Styles P’s “Nine Point Five,” Keith Ape and Ski Mask The Slump God’s South Park-inspired video for “Going Down To Underwater,” and NAV’s visual for “Good For It” round out the Top 5. Further down, music from G Herbo, Stones Throw Records’ newest signee DJ Harrison, Moneyman and Birdman, and Page Kennedy complete the round-up.
Young Thug, 2 Chainz, pnb Rock & Wiz Khalifa – “gang up”
Taken from The Fate of The Furioussoundtrack, Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa and PnB Rock’s posse track, “Gang Up,” has now been given a fresh visual, which brings the same intensity that the film franchise takes to the big screen. Complete with flashy jewelry, smoke, fancy speeding cars and lots of fire, the video easily communicates the mood of the song. Watch it above.

The Japanese deluxe version of Sampha’s critically acclaimed album, Process, was released overseas this week and came with two bonus tracks unavailable on the U.S. version. “In-Between & Overseas” is (as one might expect) a piano-driven ballad bursting with emotion, while “Answer” is much more uptempo and completely instrumental. Listen to both above.
talib Kweli & Styles P – “Nine Point Five”
Produced by Marco Polo, Talib Kweli and Styles P’s latest collaborative joint, “Nine Point Five,” also features The Lox MCs Jadakiss and Sheek Louch, as well as Niko Is. The track follows Kweli and P’s recent video for “Last Ones.” Both are teasers of their forthcoming album, The Seven, which is expected to arrive on Friday (April 14).

keith Ape f. Ski Mask the Slump god – “Going down to underwater”
Someone is apparently a massive South Park fan. In the long-running animated show’s honor, Keith Ape and Ski Mask The Slump God have crafted a video for “Going Down To Underwater,” which is made up of samples of the South Park theme song courtesy of DJ Patt. The visual animates each rapper as a character from the classic cartoon.
arsonal – “funk flex freestyle”
New Jersey battle rapper and U Dubb league owner Arsonal was a recent guest on Funkmaster Flex’s freestyle show, where he took on Mobb Deep’s “Shook Ones Part II” instrumental. As he tears up the beat, he flaunts stacks of hundred dollar bills he pulls out of his pocket mid-verse before claiming “I can’t love a stripper like T-Pain/I’m something different.”

G herbo – “o.w.d. (Produced by Harry fraud)”
After explaining how Nicki Minaj jumpstarted his career, G Herbo makes a swift return with the single “O.W.D.,” featuring production from highly sought after beatmaker Harry Fraud. The track should whet the palate of fans thirsty for his Humble Beast debut, which hopefully arrives before the year is up.
Denzel curry f. Nell & Twelve’Len – “Goodnight”
Taken from his Imperial album, Denzel Curry’s “Goodnight” featuring NELL and Twelve’Len has been given the visual treatment, which (par for the course) is another thought-provoking production. Directed by David Wep, the video begins with a child getting out of bed to discover his mother making breakfast for him before sending him off to school. On his way, he’s exposed to violence and death until he discovers a field of sunflowers. Watch through to the end to draw your own conclusions.
