Nappy Roots make its glorious return with “The Void” featuring Scotty ATL and EarthGang, Rapper Big Pooh drops off a video for “Potpourri (Dead Flowers),” and T.I. releases a video for “Trenches Reloaded (Remix)” with the late Peanut Da Don to round out the top five. New material from Open Mike Eagle, Mistah F.A.B., Virginia rapper Sheik Kargbo, songstress Kennedy Rd., and Swedish dream-pop group Little Dragon also make the cut.
nxworries (Anderson .paak & Knxwledge) – “Scared money”
Comprised of the ever-colorful Anderson .Paak and producer Knxwledge, NxWorries signed with Stones Throw Records in 2015. Since then, they dropped their debut full-length album, Yes Lawd!, in 2016 and are back with a visual for “Scared Money,” which finds .Paak rocking a Louis Vuitton bucket hat and throwback adidas shirt. Directed by Calmatic, the video is a tribute to 1988’s Paid In Full.
Robert Glasper f. common – “the cross”
Jazz aficionado Robert Glasper resurfaces with a new collaboration, “The Cross,” featuring Common and singer Lianne La Havas. Co-written by Karriem Riggins, the song is included on the soundtrack for Burning Sands, a Netflix documentary about the dangers hazings pose in college fraternities.
Nappy Roots f. EarthGang & Scotty ATL – “The void”
Two years after dropping 40 Acrez, Nappy Roots are right around the corner from dropping its sequel, the appropriately titled Another 40 Acrez. Ahead of the release, the veteran crew has shared another new single, “The Void,” which also features Scotty ATL and EarthGang. The project is expected to arrive on Friday (April 14).
rapper big pooh – “potpourri (Dead Flowers)”
Little Brother alum Rapper Big Pooh is back with a video for “Potpourri (Dead Flowers),” which comes from his latest EP, Everything 4 Sale. The longtime MC recently wrapped up a massive tour with The Beatnuts and Termanology. Find the album here.

Open Mike Eagle resurfaces with a new visual for “Dark Comedy Late Show,” which comes from the EP, A Special Episode Of. In the video, the former Fake Four, Inc. artist hosts his own late-show and tackles topics like The West Wing, racism in America and U2’s iPhone invasion.
Mistah F.a.B. – “Dear Mr. President”
Mistah F.A.B. metaphorically takes pen to paper with his new single, “Dear Mr. President.” Written from the perspective of the poor, he tries to take a diplomatic approach while addressing prisons, drugs, homelessness, and violent crime and pleading for the POTUS to hear his cries.
sheik Kargbo f. mariam – “new neighbors”
Blossoming Alexander, Virginia-based artist Sheik Kargbo rolls through with a cinematic video for “New Neighbors,” the latest single off his highly-anticipated album, The Speakeasy Experience. Yeah yeah, it’s not exactly Hip Hop, but Swedish dream-pop outfit Little Dragon consistently works with MCs on every project it does, and has crafted some killer tracks with artists like De La Soul, Future, Big Boi, and Bishop Nehru. Ahead of the group’s new album, Little Dragon has dropped the new single, “Celebrate,” an uptempo offering reminiscent of early Michael Jackson. Season High is expected to arrive on Friday (April 14).
