Drake, Rihanna & The Weeknd Top Contenders For 2017 Billboard Music Awards

Drake is one to watch out for at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, next month. Along with EDM-pop duo The Chainsmokers, the Canadian crooner/rapper leads the charge of nominees with an impressive 22 nominations.

Behind Drake is Rihanna with 14 nominations and The Weeknd with 13 nominations.

Drake, who recently dropped his More Life playlist, is nominated in categories such as Top Artist, Top Male Artist, and Top Billboard 200 Artist.

Despite racking up nearly two dozen nods, Drake finds himself up against hearty competition.

In the Top Artist category, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Adele, The Weeknd and a handful of other musicians also received nominations. Drizzy also has to duke it out with Atlanta rapper Future and fellow Canadian, The Weeknd, for Best Male Artist.

The Top Rap Artist category boasts a batch of the usual suspects, with J. Cole, Desiigner, Drake, Future, and Rae Sremmurd all nominated for that particular category.

Additionally, Top Rap Tour sees Drake, Future, and Kanye West battling it out for that honor.
