The DX Digest for Wednesday (March 29) is here, and finds Gucci Mane and Nicki Minaj’s new video for “Make Love” in the top slot while RiFF RAFF’s introspective video for “Root Beer Float Ghost” follows in slot number two. Run The Jewels also sits down for an interview with VICELAND’s Desus & Mero show, Juelz Santana resurfaces with a video for “Up In The Studio Gettin Blown Pt. 2,” and Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko keep up the momentum with the “PTSD (Warrior Built)” single. A slick remix from Knxwledge, videos from Trip Lee and Flipp Dinero, an Uncle Murda interview, another single from Mpulse, and a thought-provoking video from Shadows of Society also make the list.

gucci mane f. nicki minaj – “make love”

Now that the proverbial dust has settled around Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj’s “beef,” the self-proclaimed Black Barbie can focus on releasing more, um — music. Gucci Mane’s new video for “Make Love” featuring Minaj is all about living the good life, and finds the duo posted up at a luxurious mansion while Minaj raps from an inflatable unicorn and Gucci stands in front of a bevy of fancy cars and around barely-dressed dancing women. The song comes from Gucci’s soon-to-be-released project, Droptop Wizop. Watch the Eif Rivera-directed video above.

riff raff – “root beer float ghost”

RiFF RAFF is back with another video from his Aquaberry Aquarius project, “Root Beer Float Ghost,” which features singer Tomi Dibaise. Directed by Cole Bennett, the video finds the eccentric rapper spitting from a bathroom (maybe?) looking noticeably sullen while he drops lines about trying to stay sober.

tech n9ne f. krizz kaliko & Jay Trilogy – “ptsd (Warrior Built)”

Indie rap stalwart Tech N9ne is clearly staying busy. Not only is he on the road in support of The Storm, he’s also dropped another new single, “PTSD (Warrior Built)” featuring Krizz Kaliko and Jay Trilogy. The song comes just days after his video for “Drama,” which also featured longtime Strange Music Inc. label mate Krizz.

knxwledge – “feeling (Bibio Remix)”

Stones Throw producer and one-half of NxWorries with Anderson .Paak, Knxwledge, has offered up a remix of Bibio’s “Feeling,” another jazz-infused feel-good track. The song follows his GREENTXTS V1 beat tape, which was released in late February.

trip lee – “too cold”

Trip Lee, who is signed to Lecrae’s Reach Records, has brought the heat in his new video for “Too Cold.” The Atlanta-based artist signed with the label at just 16 years old and now at 29, the Christian rapper and teaching pastor has obviously hit his stride.

flipp dinero – “i do”

Flipp Dinero heads back to his Brooklyn neighborhood in the new video for the single “I Do,” which recently caught the attention of BK’s own Joey Bada$$. The video comes ahead of his forthcoming full-length project that should be on its way sometime this year.

uncle murda – “la leakers interview”

While on tour with The LOX, Uncle Murda stopped by Power 106 for a chat with the LA Leakers. As soon as Jay Z’s “So Ghetto” drops, the Brooklyn MC spits a few bars before littering more lyrics over Future’s “Mask Off.” He also talks about his forthcoming album, The Lenny Grant Story.

Mpulse – “Money under the sofa”

Mpulse can’t stop and won’t stop. As he continues his “52 Weeks” campaign, the East Coast MC is back with the Keef Boyd-produced “Money Under The Sofa.” The song is about exactly what the title suggests — hiding his money in a sofa and stacking his chips.

shadows of society – “unapologetically Black”

HipHopDX Associate Producer Ural Garrett passed along this Shadows Of Society video for “Unapologetically Black” and it seems to fit right in with the current socio-political climate in the United States. It just happens to be set to a dope soundtrack while offering up words of perseverance and hope. Beginning with a well placed, “Wake up!” the song touches on historical events affecting the Black community and the importance of empowering Black women.
