The DX Digest for Friday (March 24) crowns The Cool Kids‘ “TV Dinner” with the top honor while ScHoolboy Q’s battle rap video with his daughter comes in a close second. Desiigner’s “Holy Ghost,” Migos’ performance of “Bad & Boujee” featuring The Roots on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Denzel Curry’s double dose of BADBADNOTGOOD collaborations round out the top five. Another live performance from Post Malone, a T-Pain single, J. Cole documentary trailer, PARTYNEXTDOOR collab with Zayn, and another single from Denver’s Supreme Ace is the magic formula needed to kick off the weekend. Throw that “TV Dinner” in the microwave and dig in.

the cool kids – “tv dinner”

As the release of their forthcoming album, Special Edition Grand Master Deluxe, (hopefully) inches closer, The Cool Kids — Chuck Inglish and Sir Michael Rocks — have teased another taste of what’s to come with the single “TV Dinner” and accompanying visual, which was released exclusively via TIDAL and is their first video in five years. Using footage and characters from The Cool Kids’ forthcoming web series, THE SHIT SHOW, “TV Dinner” is a journey into the absurdity of life with the hilarious duo. Listen to the single above and cop it here.

schoolboy q – “battle raps daughter”

ScHoolboy Q apparently loves getting his daughter involved in whatever he does. In a recently posted Snapchat video, the TDE rapper playfully battle raps his 7-year-old daughter Joy Hanley. It gets a little brutal when he calls her “ugly” and captions it “no mercy lol,” but it’s clear it’s all in good fun.

desiigner – “holy ghost”

Desiigner has made another triumphant return with a new single, “Holy Ghost,” which is surprisingly low energy for the “Timmy Turner” rapper. It follows closely behind his SXSW interview with Nardwuar and the video for “Outlet.”

migos, the Roots & Jimmy Fallon – “bad & Boujee”

In the YouTube description on Migos’ latest video, “What The Price,” it was revealed the rowdy trio was going to be on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Thursday night (March 23). The result is a spirited performance of “Bad & Boujee” backed by The Roots and assisted by Fallon himself.

Denzel curry & Badbadnotgood – “ultimate/sick & Tired”

Denzel Curry has hit his fans with a double dose of new music stemming from studio sessions with Canadian music collective BADBADNOTGOOD. Titled “Sick & Tired” and “Ultimate,” the two tracks are what happens when a brilliant instrumental band pairs with a gifted lyricist.

post malone f. QUavo & Metro Boomin – “CONgratulations (live)”

After releasing Stoney in 2016, Post Malone is still in promo mode and recently popped up on The Late Late Show With Seth Meyers, where he performed “Congratulations” with Metro Boomin and Quavo of Migos.

t-pain – “thanx”

Prolific songwriter T-Pain is back with a fresh single titled “Thanx,” which follows “Dan Bilzerian” with Lil Yachty and “Feel Like I’m Haitian” featuring Zoey Dollaz. The track will presumably hold fans over until his next project, Stoicville, arrives.

j. cole – “4 your eyez only (Trailer)”

Since Dreamville’s head honcho J. Cole released 4 Your Eyez Only, he’s been relatively quiet — until today (March 24). HBO’s official trailer for the 4 Your Eyez Only documentary has arrived to give viewers a glimpse into the long awaited film. According to Entertainment Weekly, the doc dives into the everyday plight of low-income families across the south in communities like Baton Rouge, Atlanta, Ferguson, Fayetteville and Jonesboro. The hour-long film is expected to premiere on April 15 at 10 p.m. EST on HBO.

Zayn f. Partynextdoor – “STill Time”

Formerly part of super boy band One Direction, Zayn is now attempting to break out on his own and has headed to Toronto for the new single “Still Got Time” featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR. Co-produced by Canadian beatsmiths Murda Beatz and Frank Dukes, “Still Got Time” is reminiscent of More Life‘s “Madiba Riddim” and “Blem,” both produced by Dukes.

supreme Ace f. Michael Christmas – “Make A play”

Denver-based rapper Supreme Ace follows “Just Because” with Ye Ali and the full-length project, Something I Put Together, with “Make A Play” featuring another impressive feature from Boston’s Michael Christmas. Produced by Jayze, the track has plenty of soul and proves the kid has lots of heart, which is often half the battle when trying to make an impact in the music scene.
