Lil Uzi Vert Gets His 1st Solo Platinum Plaque

Lil Uzi Vert is more than “that guy on ‘Bad and Boujee'” and he’s proven that with his first solo platinum plaque. The Philly rapper was awarded the certification by the RIAA for his Metro Boomin-produced single “You Was Right” surpassing 1 million units in sales earlier this month.

“Bad and Boujee,” the hit song with Migos, was given platinum recognition in January and Uzi’s first plaque was a gold nod for “Money Longer.”

The Taylor Gang signee (or not?) is prepping Luv is Rage 2 after the first project dropped in 2015 and was followed by Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World and an EP with Gucci Mane.

    1. He may be a rapper from Philly… But this nicca IS NOT A PHILLY RAPPER
      He’s just another #IndustryClone

    2. It ain’t about talent these days it’s about who hot and what minstrel show they can throw dollars at for real anybody can go platinum if u just come with catchy hook

    3. Real MCs used to get plaques for ALBUMS. Not clowns get plaques for a streaming single. The world is doomed.

      1. You don’t have to have talent to blow up, really think to yourself does this guy have talent? I know some people don’t care but my biggest thing is listening to music that was hard to make. All of his stuff is a carbon copy of other carbon copies

    4. Hot garbage!!! LMFAO…why are people always considered haters when they don’t like something that YOU like. To each their own

    5. First of all platinum singles are nothing special especially the way streaming counts towards sales now, even still as a hip hop fan seeing that people prefer this to real rappers is tragic
