Loc, and Ace Hood’s “2 Fux.” GoldLink’s Kaytranda-produced single, “Meditation,” an Arts & Rap video with King Mez, and Knxwledge’s incredible beat tape, GREENTXTSV1. also make the list. raekwon f. lil wayne – “my corner”
The Chef has been cooking up endless audible treats in his kitchen as of late. As the Wu-Tang Clan vet continues the roll-out of his forthcoming solo album, The Wild, he’s serving another tasty track in the form of “My Corner” featuring rap powerhouse Lil Wayne, someone he clearly admires. “Wayne is a charismatic individual and his flows are dumb delightful,” Rae told Rolling Stone. “I studied him way back and appreciated the opportunity to trade bars with him. I always heard his voice on this, and I was very pleased hearing him tap dance on a different style of production.” Produced by G Sparkz, “My Corner” follows the G-Eazy-assisted “Purple Brick Road” and “What It Come To.”The Wild is expected on March 24.
cherp f. the game – “bring back biggie (remix)”
The Game and Cherp have popped off a lyrical assault with a remix of “Bring Back Biggie,” and both rappers don’t hold back on their disdain for mumble rappers like Young Thug. It begins with a snippet of Erykah Badu’s “Didn’t Cha Know” before questioning “how a new rapper would try on a dress.” It just gets more brutal from there, although it’s oddly appropriate on the 20th anniversary of Biggie’s death.
