As the Brooklyn Nets battle the New York Knicks on Sunday (March 12), those in attendance at the game will help in celebrating the life of the late Notorious B.I.G.

The evening game, which will go down at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, will serve as “Biggie Night.”

According to the New York Daily News, Puff Daddy and Biggie’s mother, Voletta Wallace will be in attendance at the game. The children of the late rapper, as well as Mark Pitts and Wayne Barrow are also invited to take part in the evening’s festivities.

Although specific details have yet to be revealed, the game will feature pre-game and halftime ceremonies.

Official word on “Biggie Night” also came via the official Twitter account for the Brooklyn Nets.

“Sunday’s game vs the Knicks will honor the 20th anniversary of Biggie Smalls’ passing,” the Brooklyn Nets tweeted yesterday (March 8).

News of “Biggie Night” comes as fans around the world pay respect to the Brooklyn wordsmith on the 20th anniversary of his death.

Puff Daddy, Faith Evans, and Fabolous serve as just a handful of artists who have paid respect to Biggie this week.
