Scoop DeVille is working on a yet-to-be-titled album and has released the first single in the form of “Suavecito.” The project will be mixed and mastered by DJ Quik, according to a press release.
Scoop DeVille has kept himself busy producing as he’s had placements on 50 Cent’s The Kanan Tape, Paul Wall’s Slabgod, Taylor Gang’s TGOD Volume 1and Casey Veggies’ Customized Greatly Vol. 4.
Besides preparing the album, Scoop has created a collection of merch honoring his father, Latino rap pioneer Frost. He partnered with Los Angeles-based company SSUR for the hats, jackets and T-shirts that say “La Raza,” an homage to the people represented by Frost’s breakout song when he was known as Kid Frost. The apparel is available online at SSUR.com or in-store.
