DJ Khaled Reveals Title Of New Album & Says Infant Son Will Executive Produce It

DJ Khaled took a break from filming his Turbo Tax commercials and helmed a press conference Thursday (February 9). Dressed to the nines in a pink suit, the celebrated DJ/producer sat alongside Chance The Rapper and Hip Hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, and revealed the title of his follow up to Major Key — Grateful. The title, most likely inspired by the October 2016 birth of his son, was announced via Instagram, which he teased on Wednesday (February 8).

He also (jokingly?) said his infant son Asahd will executive produce the record as Chance deflected questions about features included on Grateful. Diddy also led the audience in a prayer later as the discussion came to a close. The conference comes just ahead of the 59th Grammy Music Awards, where both Khaled and Chance are nominated for Best Rap AlbumMajor Key and Coloring Book, respectively. The Grammys air Sunday (February 12) at 5 p.m. PST.

    1. Can this corny dude go away now? He had his little snapchat, pop culture 15 minutes of fame but enough is enough

    2. The cheesyness never stops. Making your infant child who is less than a year old an exec producer is played. That shit might have paid off in the 90s but all Khaled albums flop. Fat ass does nothing. No beats. No raps. No hooks. Just corny yelling the same wack shit for years over the same songs with the same artists in the same videos.

    3. We ourselves are to blame for this buffoonery. The moment we show an ounce of attention, it goes on forever!!! You know that old saying, “If you give a mouse a cookie!” We allow the Chief Keefs, the Lil Yaghty’s, the Lil Uzi Vert’s, the Lil “Insert your dumb name here”, to first get famous and then hold onto fame for just a few seconds beyond their 15 minutes…Sad thing is the 15 minutes of their fame is so over the top and untalented, but we’re to blame to even let it get there.

    4. Cmon, even this white kid from the suburbs (me) knows Khaled is the corniest shit around. The only song I listened to off his last junk was Holey key, just because it featured Kendrick. And even Kendrick isn’t what he was in 2012. Kendrick went from being the voice of a generation, to being the voice of only black youth, nothin wrong with that, it’s good music, but I just can’t relate to it.

      1. I feel the same way! I was just bumping Overly DEdicated and Section 80 and he went from “I dont make black music, I dont make white music, I make every-day life music” to that Black Power crap. Kendrick’s mentality totally stepped back he was on Level 5 now he’s on level 1. I can’t relate to him telling grown black folks at his concert to stop fighting…. u know what I mean? He actually has that on his album TPAB. The black supremacists really got to him

      2. BTW I actually like Khaled he’s consistent. He doesnt sing or rap so…. lol. He does bring out some good Club joints or whatever

    5. whats the meaning of life? , what happens after we die? ,why in the fuck is dj khaled famous?, questions like this will never be answered
