The wait might soon be over for fans eagerly awaiting a studio release from rising star 21 Savage.

With a tweet sent earlier today (February 9), the Atlanta rapper confirmed that a new album will be out “very very soon.”

The revealing tweet comes mere weeks after 21 inked a record deal with Epic Records. He credited Epic’s head honcho L.A. Reid’s enthusiasm as one of the reasons why he opted for the label.

“I ain’t wanna just sign on some straight business shit. I wanna sign to someone who believes in me and understands me,” 21 Savage said during an interview with Rap Radar last month.

Now that a new album is due out “very very soon,” 21 Savage could be on course to making this year just as savage as 2016.

With fans already eating up his 2015 releases, The Slaughter Tape and Slaughter King, 21 dropped his Savage Mode project with Metro Boomin last July, and solidified himself as one to watch in 2016. The project went on to peak at #28 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart.

Guest spots on Drake’s “Sneakin'” as well as on songs by Meek Mill, YG and Travis Scott only helped to further build his name.

Aside from a vague release date, no other details on 21 Savage’s upcoming album have been revealed.
