While Mariah Carey’s New Year’s Eve didn’t go exactly as planned, plenty of celebrities, especially in the realm of Hip Hop, seemed to have a better go of it.  Skillz and Uncle Murda both dropped their own versions of the 2016 “Rap Up” just ahead of New Year’s Eve, but a quick look on social media shows that Hip Hop stars far and wide brought in 2017 in a variety of other ways.

Nicki Minaj was the guest of honor at Club E11VEN in Miami as a host and performer. No sign of Meek Mill, who was across town at Club Dream. More on that in a bit.

Meanwhile, Meek Mill hosted and performed at South Beach Miami’s Club Dream, with a photo showing him stunting comfortably on a luxury ride and writing celebratory words for the new year.

Pharrell Williams didn’t show off any wild partying but instead shared a thoughtful note.

Drake celebrated New Year’s with a performance in Las Vegas that reportedly drew Jennifer Lopez amid romance rumors between the two. They didn’t share any photos together this time, with the Canadian superstar instead showing off his dapper look next to some friends.

Busta Rhymes took it to New York City in Times Square and shared a video with the world, along with reposting Epic Records’ posting of his new Swizz Beatz-produced single, “AAAHHHH!!!”

Speaking of Swizz Beatz, he posted a very uplifting NYE message via Instagram while his wife, Alicia Keys, got busy on Carson Daly’s NBC New Year’s Eve special.
