Brooklyn, New York

Uncle Murda has been grinding for the past decade and the hard work has led to a couple of major deals along the way that ended for various reasons. The Brooklyn veteran will try his hand once more at breaking through after it was announced he has joined 50 Cent‘s G-Unit roster.

The signing of Murda to G-Unit was teased by Fif via his Instagram page earlier in the week, but it was confirmed last night after a joint appearance by the pair at Club Lust in Brooklyn.

Murda has been making moves in 2016 after releasing the joint mixtape Yellow Tape: King Kong & Godzillaalongside fellow Brooklynite Maino. He also gained a buzz for his street single “Thot” featuring Young M.A and Dios Moreno. Murda now joins a roster that includes Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, Kidd Kidd, and Rotimi.

A look back on Uncle Murda’s Instagram gave hints that there was something in the works weeks ago but now it’s been made official.
