In this week’s album sales, Pentatonix dominates Billboard’s Top 200 albums chart with its Christmas album. Kid Cudi and Gucci Mane debut projects in the Top 20 and J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only remains in the Top 5 a week after its release.

Kid Cudi’s “Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'” Album Just Misses Top 10

Kid Cudi’s Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ album lands at the #11 position in its first week. The project sold 49,698 equivalent album units and was streamed more than 35 million times across all platforms as the artist emphasized he did not want to participate in the streaming wars. Cudi’s “alternative” Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven LP debuted at #36 last year. His highest-charting project is 2013’s Indicud, which peaked at the #2 spot.

Gucci Mane’s Fans Enjoy Gift From East Atlanta Santa

Gucci Mane’s third LP of 2016, The Return of East Atlanta Santa, lands at the #16 spot on the chart upon its debut. The album sold 37,717 equivalent album units and was streamed 22.5 million times. Guwop’s Everybody Looking, which dropped in July, earned the #2 spot on the chart while it was his first project ever to hit #1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The Atlanta rapper gave away Woptober to his fans for free and it still landed at #43 strictly off streams.

J. Cole’s “4 Your Eyez Only” Remains In Top 5

J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only sees an 82 percent drop in album sales from its debut week, but it still lands at #4 with nearly 90,000 equivalent album units. It was streamed 60 million times in this sales cycle. The project had the third highest debut of 2016, following Drake’s VIEWS and Beyoncé’s LEMONADE.
