Fresh off his name change, TheGoodPerry officially has a home for his music in Quality Control.
The rapper/producer formerly known as Burberry Perry announced that he signed with the Atlanta label on his Instagram with a picture showing him signing his contract with founder Kevin “Coach K” Lee and tagging co-founder and CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas. Coach K and Pee also shared the image and congratulated TheGoodPerry.
Lil Yachty, TheGoodPerry’s best friend, announced his signing with Quality Control in June. The label is also home to Migos.
TheGoodPerry changed his name earlier this year after Burberry sued because his Burberry Perry moniker and subsequent mixtape mimicked the luxury brand’s trademarks.
Isaiah Rashad gave a lil shoutout to Yachty and Perry on The Sun’s Tirade single “Tity and Dolla” where he raps “Lately I’ve only been bumpin’ that Yachty/All this Burberry on top of my body.”
They keep signing these Goofy artists. Must be a new Generation thing going on.
