Just one day after rumors of a pending divorce between Kanye West and Kim Kardashian had the internet abuzz, those rumors are now being shot down by a close family friend.
Jonathan Cheban, best friend to Kim Kardashian, found rumors of a divorce
between the couple laughable. While speaking with E! News at a holiday party for DailyMail, he revealed that chatter of a divorce is “so not true.”
“I don’t know where people come up with stories, but it’s literally hysterical,” Cheban said. “I just spoke to both of them on FaceTime literally before I was coming here. And when I heard that, I literally just burst out laughing. I feel bad for the reporter.”
Yesterday (December 7), an alleged family friend informed Us Weekly that Kim “wants a divorce” from her husband, and was also seeking full custody of her two children with the rapper.

There were also reports that the couple is living separately, following Kanye’s breakdown and subsequent hospitalization, with Kim and kids staying at Kris Jenner’s.
Despite the glum news surrounding the couple earlier this week, today brings a glimmer of good news for the Wests. TMZ reports that ‘Ye is currently recovering at home, and is even creating “his best work.”
The Chicago lyricist is said to have built a temporary studio inside his Bel-Air home.
