Kanye West has been pretty candid about his psychological issues in his music, rapping about taking anti-depressants — Lexapro specifically — and about his visits to his psychiatrist (and meeting their kids).
A source revealed to TMZ that West’s erratic pattern of taking his medication led to the most recent episode that caused him to first cancel his Saint Pablo Tour, then to be hospitalized for more than a week at UCLA’s Medical Center in Los Angeles, where doctors were able to stabilize him.
TMZ says the changes in medication came after his wife, Kim Kardashian-West, was robbed in Paris in October.
The “Ultralight Beam” musician is currently receiving outpatient care but reportedly not in the home he shares with his wife and their two children: three-year-old North and one-year-old Saint.

Another source spoke to PEOPLE about the situation with the family, saying that Kim is worried about the kids being around their dad.
“[Kim] is very worried about the kids being around Kanye,” the source claimed, describing the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star as “concerned but supportive.”
