When Kanye West was admitted to hospital for “temporary psychosis brought on by lack of sleep and dehydration” last week, many people hoped that temporary would simple mean a couple of days.
Unfortunately for the rapper, it appears that he won’t be leaving the Los Angeles Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center as soon as he’d hoped.
According to Us Weekly, doctors have said that West “is in no shape to leave” despite the protestations of Kim Kardashian that the star would recover better at home. “They didn’t tell him when yet, but they said they will keep monitoring him day by day,” the source told Us Weekly about Kanye leaving the treatment center. Kardashian has reportedly been at West’s side the whole time, even sleeping with him and feeding him.

The hiatus on Keeping Up With The Kardashians has also been extended. Production on the show was paused after Kim was the victim of an armed robbery in Paris in October of this year, and following Kanye’s hospitalization it seems that the show will stop filming indefinitely. TMZ has reported that Kardashian is “rethinking everything” at this difficult time for the family.
While nobody can be certain, a source told the New York Post that Kanye has been overworked by touring, work on his clothing line, as well as the emotional strain brought about by Kim’s robbery and the ninth anniversary of the death of his mother earlier this month.
