The sales projections are in for The Weeknd’s Starboyalbum and it’s looking like the Canadian singer will have a strong debut for the project. According to Hits Daily DoubleStarboy is expected to be The Weeknd’s second #1 album of his career with between 350,000 to 400,000 equivalent album units in its first week. The publication expects stream count to be “somewhere between very, very big and astronomical.”

The project has already been boosted by the success of the single “Starboy” with Daft Punk, which has floated near the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 list for several weeks now.

The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind the Madness also debuted at #1 upon its release a little over a year ago. The LP sold 411,467 equivalent album units its first week with more than 57 million streams.

Drake had the highest opening week for a project this year with VIEWS seeing more than 1 million total album sales when it dropped in April and topped the chart. It was streamed 245 million times its first week and has since surpassed 1 billion streams on Apple Music and 3 billion plays on Spotify.
