Lupe Fiasco shared some heartfelt words for Kanye West during a recent show in Sacramento, California, the same city where West abruptly ended his Saint Pablo Tour show after going on a lengthy rant about Beyonce, Jay Z, Donald Trump, radio and other things that seemed to either bother or excite him about the world.
Lupe spoke from first-hand experience about the challenges of touring and constantly being on public display. “When you not performing, you thinking about performing,” Lupe said. “And when you not thinking about performing, you performing. When you not performing, you recovering from performing. When you not recovering from performing you gotta prepare yourself to perform again. That’s hard.”
Following West’s Sacramento show, he canceled his remaining tour dates and was admitted to the hospital for “temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration” on Monday (November 21). Sacramento radio station Hot 103.5 has since banned playing Kanye West’s music.
“We want to send prayers out to my big bro Kanye,” Fiasco continued. “He say a lot of goofy shit sometimes, but he from Chicago, so it don’t even fucking matter, and I wish a nigga would say something. Show you what this Chi-Raq shit really about,” he joked, before finishing with a serious point. “Look at the people who gave their heart and soul to this business and things that they lost and things that they go through. Just have patience. Don’t let it turn into anger. Don’t let it turn into cynicism. If you appreciate the work the brother put in for you and he supported you and helped you out from a distance with his music then just hold on to that moment,” Fiasco said as the crowd applauded.

Chance the Rapper, Pusha T, Janelle Monae and 9th Wonder are among those who have publicly sent their well wishes to Ye during this rough time.
Fellow Chicago rapper and “Overnight Celebrity” collaborator Twista penned an open letter published to Fake Shore Drive asking for the community to pray for Yeezy.
“Wanting help doesn’t show weakness,” he writes. “It actually shows character and it lets people know you too are you human and you too have feelings too. when the provider needs help, who can the provider turn too? When you have sooo many people that depend on you everyday, who can you turn to just to vent out to or just breath too without feeling weak to?”
