Fans in Europe hoping to see Chance The Rapper electrify their stages will have to wait after it was announced that the Chicago star is suspending the remaining dates of his tour until 2017. In a recent interview, Chance hinted at the possibility of coming home in order to support his mentor Kanye West.
Chance was a guest on BBC Radio 1Xtra on Tuesday, sitting with host Trevor Nelson to promote the European swing of his Magnificent Coloring Book Tour. Along with an in-studio performance of the stirring “All We Got” from his Coloring Book project, Chance also covered Drake’s “Feel No Ways” as well.
With the recent news of West’s hospitalization and cancellation of the Saint Pablo Tour, Chance used the moment to send a prayer to his fellow Windy City native and mentioned going home for Thanksgiving to visit him.
The cancellation of the three final shows of the tour was published to Facebook on Tuesday with MCD Promotions citing “personal reasons.” The listings don’t appear in the tour section of Chance’s official website either.
