A day after the unthinkable happened — Donald J. Trump snatched the White House from underneath Hillary Clinton’s experienced fingers, many members of the Hip Hop community were stunned, saddened and to complete the alliteration train, in a state of shock.

Lupe Fiasco doesn’t identify as a Trump supporter, but he does identify as Black, Muslim and forward-thinking — several characteristics that seemingly caused friction amongst the bunch. But as the post-Election Day 2016 sunset settles in all across the country, he reached out to all his “real” Twitter followers in efforts to keep the peace.

“I’m only speaking to my fans with this next few tweets. Not you folks who follow just to talk shit or just see RT’s from other people…,” he stated before specifically addressing those individuals who see Trump’s victory as imminent doom.

“This is not a local phenomenon. A trend of ultra right, antiestablishment nationalist movements are having their turn at bat globally,” he admitted unflinchingly. “You’ve seen (hopefully) that urban cities do NOT factually represent the tone of country at this moment in history. Whilst I do not believe it’s all doom & gloom I do empathize with your concerns. But I will ask you rethink the reality of your concerns. Will some straight up unfiltered racists feel empowered? Yes. Will that empowerment congeal in2 a new Nazi party checking Muslims papers? No.”

Land Of Lincoln: Lupe’s home state of Illinois had no problems going blue for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Presidential Election.

The Chicago-born rap star, 34, is no stranger to engaging political conversations, for he set that benchmark early in his career with the contents of his 2006 debut album, Food & Liquor, and at times, appeared to openly challenge President Obama’s tenure in the Oval Office.

As the lame duckness of the past eight years settled in, Lupe also extended an olive branch to Barry O. tweeting, “Good Job sir. Best wishes on what you got going next. Sincerely, Lupe Fiasco.”

Fiasco concluded his soapbox break by calling for those who openly supported Trump to lead opposed to just basking in their victory.

“Resist being vague especially to yourself about yourself & your role in the world. It’s time for personal leadership not celebrity saviors,” he warned. “On BOTH sides. my fans who supported Trump U have to lead too! It’s on your shoulders to carry out the plan. Let’s see the work not the jerk.”
