Ice-T, Noreaga, and half of Cypress Hill join the ranks of Hollywood superstar Al Pacino in the line-up for the Scarface video game set to drop this fall.

The next gangsta classic to get a video game remake, the game is entitled Scarface: The World Is Yours, and features the voices of some of Hollywood and hip hop’s biggest names.

Among the cast list are the aforementioned Ice-T, Nore, and B-Real and Sen Dog from Cypress Hill, alongside actors including: Anthony Anderson [Hustle & Flow, Cradle 2 The Grave], Robert Davi [007: Licence To Kill, Die Hard], James Woods [Any Given Sunday, True Crime], and Michael Rapaport [The 6th Day, Deep Blue Sea].

Al Pacino will also be lending his likeness for the lead character, Tony Montana, a role which Pacino made so famous when the movie was released in 1983. Several key lines will be taken from his original performance and incorporated into the game for all-round authentic gameplay.

The aim of Scarface: The World Is Yours is to rebuild Montana’s drug empire, running around Miami fulfilling numerous tasks in your quest to become the ultimate drug kingpin. The game play will be similar in style to the well-known Grand Theft Auto series, just like the recently released Godfather video game.

“Scarface is a brand universally recognized for its cutting-edge cool, even two decades after the movie’s original release,” said Cindy Cook, marketing executive of the game’s distributor, Vivendi.

“It’s no surprise that so many of the top talent from film, television and music would want to be a part of that world. The video fame is allowing people to be part of one of the most popular franchises in Hollywood.”

Whilst the line-up for the game looks impressive, only time will tell whether Vivendi can provide an authentic experience when Scarface: The World Is Yours hits stores this fall for Playstation 2, Xbox and PC.
