    E-40 is preparing a massive rollout for a two-part double-disc album The D-Boy Diary Books 1 & 2.

The Bay Area legend has 42 tracks planned for the project, which is set to drop November 18. He is celebrating more than 20 years in the rap game and The D-Boy Diary Books 1 & 2 will be his 26th and 27th albums respectively.

“What’s happening at this point in my career defies logic,” E-40 says in a press release. “I still spit the realest and rawest shit of anyone in the rap game right now. The D-Boy Diary will lace the unlaced, will tutor the truant — it’s a guidebook for a street life.”

Guest features on The D-Boy Diary Books span generations and regions. Mistah F.A.B. and Nef The Pharaoh appear on “Bring Back the Sideshow” off Part 2 after repping the Bay at Drake’s Summer Sixteen Tour, which the up-and-comer told HipHopDX was “a big Bay Area moment of Bay Area history.”

Other featured artists include Gucci Mane, G-Eazy, Jazze Pha, B-Legit, Eric Bellinger, Rick Rock, AD, Mozzy, Jay Rock, Kid Ink and Lil B. Sacramento rapper-producer Brvndon P contributes two tracks to the album.

      1. Wouldn’t call him or his music trash, maybe not great or really good but not trash, I always found him extremely cheesy and corny. But just because you find someone cheesy or corny doesn’t mean you can’t have respect for them and their hustle. I do think more rappers should have followed his business pattern tho. I remember back in the days when a rapper hit 40 career over period no matter who you were. But that 90’s rap class found a way to make rap a real career where you could make money years after your prime. Think about all the rappers from that class that are still out there touring and selling merchandise E40, Nas, Snoop, Bone Thugs, Outkast, Wu,

          1. I think he’s referring to 40’s style of rapping, which I can understand, it’s not for everybody. But I think it’s dope.

    1. E40 is of he greatest to ever do it musically and with business acumen. Funded himself since day one. Tupac recorded with him and notorious BIG wanted him on his last album like biggie said on rap city in his last video interview. Career since he 80s. So what you say doesn’t mean shhhh. No one else to compare him too!

    2. I hope he got some beats from the worlds freshest (the real dj fresh) and dam-funk on here, need that groovy ass funk sound back.

    3. I hope the worlds freshest(dj fresh) and dam-funk got some production on them joints. They both have 80’s inspired production so it would make sense to paint that D-Boy picture with their beats. Need more of that retro funk shit. Wouldnt mind hearing a e-40/madlib joint either someday.
40 should collab with young gully/fashawn/shady nate/nipsey hussle/absoul as well…he collabed with damn near everybody along the california coast except those 5 brothas. those tracks would be fire.
A verse from freddie gibbs, curren$y and maybe even lupe fiasco would be solid too.

    4. Fuck yeah! I just hope it ain’t an album full of fillers! He’s been quantity over quality on a few of these releases but I know Fonzarelli can bring it when he’s focused!

    5. E-40 is one of the best to ever do it. His collection of Platinum & Gold records prove it! #WestCoast #BayToLA #40Water #EffenMob #ShowUpAndShowOut #TeamLuxurious
