As he carefully plots his next full-length project release, Grammy Award-winning Lecrae has decided to take the fruits of the labor he has already built up and hit the road to plant more seeds.
The recently announced Destination Tour (surname “You’re Accepted”) will be the first road endeavor for Lecrae since he aligned his resources with Columbia Records back in May 2016.
“This tour is meant to be an invitation to collectively breathe through art and music,” Lecrae said in a press release. “It’s been an exhausting year, and people need a destination where they can feel freedom. I’m excited to play new music for the first time. I’ve worked with some of the most incredible artists over the summer, and I want to put some of that music on display.”
That “exhausting year” includes several instances where black men were killed by police in perceivably unjust circumstances; instances that Lecrae denounced personally and publicly.
