Cash Money Records has made a “power move” with Apple Music, according to label CEO Birdman.
The rapper-turned-entrepreneur took to Instagram over the weekend to make the announcement.
“its official @thelarryjacksonthank you @applemusic Cash Money makes a power move wit @applemusic#BIG BUSINESS #CASHMONEYRICHGANG#lifestyle #MSGLADYS #RESPEK,” Birdman wrote in his post’s caption field.
Birdman was snapped alongside Apple Music’s Larry Jackson – a former A&R executive at Jimmy Iovine’s Interscope – who now plays a key role under his former boss at Apple.

While Apple has a deal with one of Cash Money’s most successful artists in Drake, one of Cash Money’s other leading artists, Lil Wayne, is an official artist-owner of TIDAL, having signed a deal with the streaming service last year.
