Drake is back on top of this week’s Billboard Top 200 albums chart as Blink-182 falls to the #3 spot with its California album. ScHoolboy Q barely misses out on his second #1 LP. Kanye West and Chance The Rapper show the power of streaming as both continue to chart without a single physical album sale for The Life of Pablo and Coloring Book.

Drake’s “VIEWS” Are From The Top Once Again

After spending nine straight weeks at the #1 spot of Billboard’s Top 200 albums chart, Drake was dethroned by Blink-182 last week. But he’s back on top as VIEWS sold nearly 92,000 album equivalent units in its 11th week on the list. Now reaching double digits with its 10th week at #1, Drake has one of 10 albums in the last 20 years to spend 10 weeks in the top position. He also has the longest run for an album by a male solo artist since Billy Ray Cyrus’ Some Gave It All, which spent 17 weeks in the position in 1992, according to Billboard.

Will ScHoolboy Q Be Blank-Faced About Second Studio Album’s Success?

ScHoolboy Q’s Blank Face LP rings in at #2 in its debut week. It pushed 73,935 album equivalent units with 51,000 albums sold and 27 million streams. ScHoolboy Q’s first major label release, 2014’s Oxymoron, premiered at the top of the charts with 139,000 units of sales its first week. The LP was certified platinum this year, although TDE’s Top Dawg said he is not pleased with the RIAA’s new certification system, which includes streams.
