DTTX of A Lighter Shade Of Brown has died after reportedly being taken off of life support.

AllHipHop.com reports that rapper DTTX, real name Bobby Ramirez, was taken off of life support on July 15, days after he was hospitalized in Las Vegas after allegedly falling into an “alcoholic coma.”

Following news of DTTX’s hospitalization days ago, the official Facebook page for A Lighter Shade Of Brown shared a handful of updates.

The last status update from the group, which was posted on July 14, stated the following: “God please help our brother. It’s in your hands.”

Hailing from Riverside, California, A Lighter Shade Of Brown was formed in the early 90s by DTTX and One Dope Mexican (ODM). The group went on to release several albums, including Brown & Proud and Hip Hop Locos.

Their 1991 record, “On a Sunday Afternoon” reached #39 on the Billboard Hot 100 and soared to #1 in New Zealand.
