After being made aware of a “racist” tweet sent by Populux, a nightclub in Detroit, Vic Mensa has canceled his show at the venue.

“Will not be performing at @PopuluxDetroit on #BackWithAVengeance due to the racist comments they tweeted yesterday,” Vic Mensa tweeted on Friday (July 8).

Mensa’s post included a screen capture of the tweet made by Populux, which is no longer up and running. The Populux tweet stated the following:

“#blameobama all you libtards caused these deaths. #dallasshooting #fuckblacklivesmatter”

According to a statement released from Populux, which has temporarily closed its doors, their Twitter account was hacked when the damning tweet was sent.

“We didn’t authorize these tweets. We’re working to understand how our account was compromised. We stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement,” the statement read.
