Following up her call to action after the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile at the hands of the police last week, Beyoncé has taken to Instagram to comment on the recent attack at a Dallas rally that left five police officers dead and that shook the nation.

While on tour in Europe she typed a note in honor of the officers who were killed by a sniper at a rally protesting the police violence that killed two black men in separate incidents in Louisiana and Minnesota last week. Seven other officers and two civilians were injured in the attack in downtown Dallas, a few hours from where the Lemonade singer was born and raised in Houston.

“Rest in peace to the officers whose lives were senselessly taken yesterday in Dallas,” she wrote to her 77 million Instagram followers. “I am praying for a full recovery of the seven others injured. No violence will create peace. Every human life is valuable. We must be the solution. Every human being has the right to gather in peaceful protest without suffering more unnecessary violence.
To effect change we must show love in the face of hate and peace in the face of violence.”
