New Orleans, LA

Though the relationship between Lil Wayne and Birdman isn’t getting better anytime soon, Turk is willing to put his own money issues with the label aside. After hitting Twitter earlier today, June 3, the original Hot Boy member announced he had just signed to Cash Money Records again.

Turk later posted on Instagram to confirm the recent news.

Like many of the first generation of Cash Money artists, Turk had issues with the house Birdman built due to infrequent compensation for the work he put in. He also spent time in prison for attempted murder over a decade ago as well. Speaking with HipHopDX in 2013, Turk talked about the possibilities of rejoining Cash Money through a reunion.

“The heart of a man, it could change; sometimes it gets hard, sometimes it gets soft. And, when you dealing with a lot of money and you dealing with a lot of talent, you dealing with a lot of ego and pride. With that being said, I don’t know what God got in store for the old Cash Money clique…would there ever be a Hot Boys reunion. But, it’s all love. And right now, my situation, it’s just friendly competition.”
