Joe Budden hinted that a Drake diss record was on its way last Sunday (June 26) and on Saturday (June 30) he released “Making A Murderer (Part 1)” aimed at not only Drizzy, but Meek Mill too.

For over six minutes, Joey spits crazy bars, some poking holes at Drake’s character including, “A black cloud all over The 6, check the overview/You’re so indirect, shit wasn’t real clear/Either Jimmy actin’ or he really miss a wheelchair.” A clear jab at the OVO boss.

Kanye West On “Famous” Video: “It’s A Comment On Fame”

Kanye West spoke exclusively with Vanity Fair and explained the meaning behind his “Famous” visual, which depicted himself and other celebrities including his wife Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift as sleeping wax figures lying in the same bed.

To Ye the symbolism behind the video is simple: “It’s a comment on fame.”

“For people who don’t know, me and YG got history going way back,” the Blue:89 rapper says. “At first, we didn’t like each other. It had nothing to do with gang banging stuff or anything like that. Back in the day in high school, we had cliques. YG was in a different clique and I started messing with a clique that didn’t like YG’s clique.”

Also, KXNG CROOKED exclusively detailed a new competition show on BET called “One Shot,” that he’s hosting.

“BET, I knew would be a good fit because they have a built-in audience,” he says. “The huge success of ‘106 & Park’ showed me that BET has the ability to push a show that has music in it, and a bit of fan engagement and stuff like that, and push it to the top, to the limit.”

Lastly, today (July 2) marks the 20th the anniversary of De La Soul’s 1996 album Stakes is High.

DX’s Victoria Hernandez spoke with the legendary group about on the album’s legacy.

“It was definitely a pivoting point of our career,” David Jude Jolicoeu says “Like, ‘What was gonna happen? This has to make a statement of some sort.’ We were competing with a lot of groups out there and I think musically it had to change.”

The album De La has been working on thanks to fan donations on Kickstarter,  And the Anonymous NobodyLP, which features Snoop Dogg on the lead single, “Pain,” is slated for release August 26.
