DJ Khaled has been enlisted as the newest face of Rocawear, stepping his entrepreneurial foot into the fashion arena.

“I’m honored to be chosen,” the Snapchat king told Women’s Wear Daily in an exclusive interview during the Los Angeles stop of Beyonce’s Formation tour. “Growing up in the game, Rocawear has always been a major part of the culture and lifestyle of fashion and music, and that’s why this opportunity to be the face of the brand is important to me, and it feels great. When you’re rocking Rocawear, you’re rocking greatness. It’s quality, it’s fly and it’s part of my history that I’m excited to bring to my fans.”

Khaled was also featured in the brand’s fall 2016 campaign and was chosen because of his connectedness to the people. It’s all about the fan love.

“The days of hard selling are over, and when you look at DJ Khaled, he is constantly engaged in a one-on-one conversation with his fans, and that natural connection is what it’s all about for Rocawear,” Aleesha Smalls, Vice President of Digital, Iconix Brand Group says in a press release.

The We The Best music mogul recently wrapped up from touring with Queen Bey on the North American Leg of her Formation World Tour and thanked her amply for the opportunity.

His ninth album Major Key is still in the works, with a special track featuring Jay Z and Future entitled “I Got The Keys” in tow.

“I’m in the studio now and we’re going to be announcing a summer release date any day now,” he reveals to WWD. “I also have a record about to drop with Jay Z and Future. We shot the video already. It’s rare to have [Jay Z] in a video; it’s hard to get him to shoot his own videos, so I was like, ‘Wow, did I make it to another level?'”
