New York, NY

The creators of Governors Ball have curated The Meadows Music and Art Festival, NYC’s newest summer fest. Chance the Rapper, Kanye West and The Weeknd are scheduled to headline the inaugural event October 1-2.

Bryson Tiller, Pusha T, Post Malone and Bas are also expected to hit The Meadows stage, taking place at Citi Place’s Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York.

“Launching the Meadows Festival in Queens this fall with an incredible lineup of music, art, food and culture is a dream come true,” Tom Russell, a partner at Governors Ball-makers Founders Entertainment, says in a press release. “As a native New Yorker I grew up in awe of the innovative spirit surrounding Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. With this event we can shine a spotlight once again on this iconic neighborhood and bring with it the economic benefits, strong community partnerships and local hiring for which Founders Entertainment is known. We are so grateful to the de Blasio Administration and Metropolitan Hospitality for giving us this opportunity and to all the artists who have enthusiastically agreed to take this inaugural ride with us.”

Kanye West was previously nabbed to headline Governors Ball earlier this month, however the third day of the festival was canceled due to “severe weather and a high likelihood of lightning.”
