Def Jam is like a hip hop institution when it comes to molding and creating artists known for their longevity.

From veteran LL Cool J to R&B newcomer Ne-Yo, Def Jam is still going strong.

Several new and the old artists on the label are set to appear on the Oxygen Network’s Custom Concert series this March. Both Ne-Yo and LL will tape their performances March 3 and the program will air March 18 at 10:30 p.m. EST.

Viewers will get the opportunity to customize the set list.

Beginning February 17, viewers can log onto “http://www.oxygen.com” to submit song requests and questions.

Ne-Yo’s debut, In My Own Words, drops February 28, and LL Cool J’s 12th album, on the Def Jam label Todd Smith, is set to drop March 21.

Other artist appearances have yet to be determined.

Previous guests on the series include Ashanti, Ja Rule, John Legend and India.Arie.
